My research focuses on studying molecular biodiversity, molecular ecology, and conservation genetics especially of the endangered plants in Palestine and the Eastern Mediterranean region. I am also involved in teaching and training plant in vitro culture and micropropagation, especially endangered plants and underutilized crops in Palestine. Other research interest also includes molecular (DNA) barcoding of macrofungi, and irrigation water quality assessment with molecular techniques.
